Diving Hawai Just looked into my dive logbook...about ten years ago!!! I used one of the best dive charter I know. If you happen to be in Kailua Kona and want to dive, look for Dive Makai Charters. All lady crew, seasoned and very well organized.Don't take any BS from bragging would be divers. Hope they are still in operation. Here is my entry in the logbook : "Good operator, enthusiasts, keen to show details usually overlooked by others". Avoid mass diving operators such as Boss Frog's diveshop in Lahaina who take about 50 divers at a time on their huge catamarans. Imagine how it could be under water when that many divers jump in !! Like Hanoi traffic!
Misc. : we also hiked the active volcano, felt the hot lava under our feets and smelled the sulfure fumes. Pearl Harbour is worth the visit once in a life time if you want to get a feeling of how destructive wars can be. Waikiki and Diamond Head : are ok for a short time, ... too many high school grads enjoying their graduation present. Surf sunset beach. Voilà!!

Hawaii - O'ahu Hey mate,
tu veux des tuyaux, eh ben, voici le 1er
D'ailleurs, je t'en donnerai au fur et à mesure de ton voyage, pour autant que soit aller dans ces pays.
histoire de te faire plaisir, mais aussi de te dire que ce que les autres font en face de toi...eh bien c'est pas pour toi :)
Quand tu iras au Northshore, va jusqu'à Haleiwa et ensuite va sur la droite in front of the ocean voir les surfers sur le Bonzai Pipeline, Rocyk Point ou autres, balade-toi quoi, faire des trucs de ouf.
Et donc, mon conseil, n'essaie même pas de les imiter...tu y resteras...
Le pire c'est que tu verras des petits blonds de 10 ans assurer comme des dingues, mais tu resteras sagement avec ton cul sur le sable et tu shooteras avec ton appareil, chacun sa place.
Ensuite pour les bodyboarders faut aller sur Kailua beach, mais la lance-toi c'est plus calme, mais faire attention qd-m.
Pour les windsurfers et kitesurfers, c'est à la point N-W de l'île, Kanea Point, tu verras ils sont pas mal non plus.
Bon, mis à part tout ça, y a aussi des visistes à faire et même ne pas manquer, du style:
-Diamond Heads, belle vue de Waikiki, et bon trek
-Pearl Harbour, tu verras, y a une drôle d'atmosphère
-Hanauma Bay, tu pourras faire du snorkling et profiter un peu du soleil
-Waikiki Beach bien sûr, une des plage les plus célébres
-Duke Kahanamoku, obligation d'avoir sur ton blog, une photo du père du surf à tes coté
-ABC stores, tu verras y en a pleins, en fait c'est la-bas qu'il faudra acheter les beers :))
Bien sûr il y a plein d'autres trucs à visiter et découvrir, mais je te laisse faire
